Gregory A. Connly

Gregory A. Connly graduated from Long Island University in Southampton, New York in 1985. He graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Boston with honors in 1991. He is a member of both the Massachusetts and New York bars.

Attorney Connly worked for the Suffolk County Legislature in Hauppauge, New York after college. He was named Chief of Staff to the Presiding Officer of the Legislature in 1986.

In 1988, Attorney Connly joined the United States Marine Corps and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in August of that year. Attorney Connly was accepted into the Platoon Leader's Course for law and began law school at Suffolk University in the fall of 1988.

After graduation, Attorney Connly attended The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia and the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island before reporting to the Legal Services Support Section, 2nd Force Service Support Group, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Atlantic at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in January of 1993.

Attorney Connly was assigned duties as a Defense Counsel from January of 1993 through August of 1995 and represented Marines at General Courts-Martial, Special Courts-Martial and Administrative Discharge Boards. Attorney Connly's litigation skills caused him to be sought out to defend many complex criminal matters, including a capital murder case. Attorney Connly resigned from the Marine Corps as a Captain and was honorably discharged in October of 1995.

Attorney Connly returned to Massachusetts and joined the firm of Boyle & Morrissey in Boston in the fall of 1995 as an Associate. He concentrated his practice in the area of civil tort defense litigation. Attorney Connly represented numerous defendants in personal injury and wrongful death claims and tried many judge and jury trials in the District and Superior Courts.

Attorney Connly joined The Law Offices of J. Albert Johnson in February of 2000. Attorney Connly was engaged in all aspects of criminal defense and civil tort plaintiff litigation in both the state and federal courts before leaving to co-found DOLAN CONNLY.

Since co-founding DOLAN CONNLY ten years ago, Attorney Connly has put his managerial, as well as his Marine Corps trial skills, to effective use. He has successfully represented numerous individuals in diverse litigation. Attorney Connly's clients have included adults and children injured in cases involving electric shocks, nursing home accidents, civil and criminal assault and battery, motor vehicle collisions, slips and falls, construction incidents, dog bite injuries, medical malpractice, prescription medication errors, wrongful death, as well as fire-related injuries and deaths.  These cases have included the representation of individuals who sustained serious permanent injuries and lost earning capacities, as well as the representation of estates of deceased individuals.  Attorney Connly has tried cases in the District and Superior Courts of Massachusetts and the Federal Courts.  He has also successfully arbitrated and mediated numerous cases over the years.

Attorney Connly's practical business skills as managing partner of DOLAN CONNLY have made him successful in handling numerous banking matters for corporate clients, as well as the representation of individuals before the Boards of numerous governmental entities. He is often sought for opinions on banking matters and has handled numerous property damage claims and other non-injury related cases for clients.  Attorney Connly's background in criminal defense and insurance defense litigation, and his thorough knowledge of plaintiff's litigation, has also enabled him to successfully defend lawsuits on behalf of his clients.
